The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
