19 of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been achieved on hard courts

A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.

Medvedev, a former world number one, has had a challenging period, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the American major.

His varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.

Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - peaking in a closely contested competitive triumph over Frenchman Moutet.

This marks the player's first trophy since the Rome competition and initial on a hard court after spring of 2023.

Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.

"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional the champion.

"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."

The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, comprising in Halle in the past months.

The player's counter-punching strategy and recurring outbursts on court had prompted observers to wonder if his capacity to perform at the highest level was concluded.

But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, supported by an enhanced serving game.

Medvedev fought back from a break down in the initial set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the last five points to go ahead.

Both players traded break points in the following set before the Frenchman, attempting for his first tour title, seized the initiative to push for a decider.

The opponent defended four early-game opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to serve for the match.

Fittingly, he clinched the title with a shot at the net, with his opponent failing to control a shot after a lengthy match.
